One of the most storied car films ever shows a ferrari 275gtb buzzing through Paris in the wee hours of the morning. It is not known for sure who the driver was, but the director, Claude Lelouch got in a bit of trouble for the piece, as traffic laws were clearly broken on anything but a closed course.
That aside, enjoy, and don't watch it on silent.
Ok, so one day no so long ago, I was bored and decided to time how long it took the driver to get from the Arc de Triumph down the Champs to place de la Concorde. I cross referenced the video with google earth and found that he averaged about 60mph. It's exactly 2km if you want to watch the vid. I always had it in my mind that he was hauling ass, and why were the revs so high? I guess we'll never know.
