A bit of prettification

Not done yet, but I was getting sick of the über-plain look.  Just wasn't doing it for me.  It needs a bit more work, which will come, but for someone who once did graphic design professionally (quite a while ago) it just wasn't cutting it.  If you hate it, tell me, if you love it, tell me, if you have suggestions, tell me.
